Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
 
FAA’s AFS-600 -- REGULATORY SUPPORT DIVISION  for FAQs about FARs. (Click on SEARCH, then in the Select Directory window, select FAQ (640), then click on the Search button. The search will return PDF files for Part 61 FAQs and Part 141 FAQs. These are PDF files and must be downloaded.
 

FAA’s Airmen Certification on-line services site  tells you how to report address and name changes, replace lost or destroyed certificates, replace a lost or destroyed knowledge test report, etc.
 

FAA’s Civil Aeromedical Institute (CAMI)  is the medical certification, research, and education wing of the FAA; they “study the factors that influence human performance in the aviation environment, find ways to understand them, and then communicate that understanding to the aviation community.”
 

FAA’s Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) airspace  includes a list of published TFRs with links to a page that shows detail of the TFR area overlaid on a sectional chart, and a text description of the restricted airspace. It also offers a U.S. map showing active TFRs across the country.

AGC — Quarterly Enforcement Report  provides information from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) about which airlines have been fined or disciplined by the FAA in the last few years.

NTSB Aviation Accident/Incident Database  provides searchable database information from The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
 

Passenger Injuries and Injury Rates,  by year, are compiled by the NTSB.

Aerospace Human Factors Association  is a constituant organization of the Aerospace Medical Association; it reflects the notion that human factors “is an umbrella for a plethora of engineering, aeromedical, physiological, and psychological approaches to the human-machine interaction.”

Automated Weather Sites  This FAA site includes an organized catalog of all ASOS/AWOS sites in the United States, Caribbean, and the Pacific Ocean areas. Information includes the site identification, frequency, telephone access number, type, and commission status.
 

Aviation Digital Data Service (ADDS)  provides weather information in several formats including text, digital, graphical, analyses, and observations of aviation-related weather variables. METAR information is available in both raw and translated formats, allowing you to access airport weather conditions over the past 36 hours.
